Target Parmesan Cheese Fraud

Levi & Korsinsky LLP is investigating potential claims against manufacturers of grated parmesan cheese relating to the marketing and sale of the products as 100% Parmesan cheese. According to independent laboratory tests, certain Parmesan cheese products advertised as containing 100% grated Parmesan cheese actually contain high levels of cellulose wood fiber.

Target’s Market Pantry grated Parmesan is prominently labeled as “100% grated Parmesan cheese.”  However, this product is not 100% Parmesan.  It actually contains additives and fillers, including cellulose wood fiber, as well as corn starch.  By adding fillers to their products, but advertising these products as 100% cheese, manufacturers are able to drive down their own production costs while cheating consumers out of a higher quality product.

If you purchased Target’s Market Pantry “100% Grated Parmesan Cheese,” our investigation may matter to you.
