Levi & Korsinsky, LLP is investigating potential claims against the digital toymaker VTech Holdings Ltd. (“VTech”) for failure to safeguard personal and sensitive information of millions of its customers. On November 24, 2015, VTech discovered that its databases had been hacked, and that approximately five million parent accounts and over six million related children’s profiles had been compromised. The information obtained by the third party hacker contained parent account information, including names, email addresses, secret question and answer for password retrieval, IP addresses, mailing addresses, download history, and encrypted passwords, as well as kid profiles, including name, genders, and birthdates. Additionally, according to recent reports, pictures of parents and children and chat logs between children and parents may have also been compromised.
If you purchased a VTech InnoTab tablet and utilized the “Kid Connect” or “Learning Lodge” services, our investigation may matter to you.
